This product Prestained Protein Marker III is composed of 10 high-purity and pre-stained recombinant proteins (without histidine tag). The molecular weight range indicated in Tris-Glycine gel is 12-190 kDa (~12, ~17, ~25, ~35, ~40, ~50, ~70, ~105, ~135, ~190 kDa), of which 70 kDa is orange-red band, 35 kDa and 12 kDa are rose-red bands, and the others are blue bands , It is convenient to dynamically observe the protein electrophoresis state or judge the effect of protein transfer. It is suitable as a protein molecular weight standard for SDS-PAGE and Western blot.

Storage and transportation

Transportation in wet ice; storage at -20°C, valid for 12 months.

 

Steps

  1. This product is ready-to-use, no need to add reducing agent or heating. Take the Prestained Protein Marker stored at -20ºC, thaw it at room temperature, and mix it gently and thoroughly;
  2. Take 5-10 μL of this product and experiment samples for protein electrophoresis at the same time; it is recommended that you can determine the appropriate sample amount through preliminary experiments according to your own experimental conditions or experimental habits when you use this product for the first time, which can save costs and at the same time. Obtain better experimental results;
  3. Store the Prestained Protein Marker at -20°C immediately after use (5-10 μL aliquots are recommended for storage and use).

 

 

Precautions

  1. This pre-stained protein molecular weight standard cannot be heated or boiled at 100°C. Heating or boiling will cause the protein bands to degrade or decolor.
  2. This pre-stained protein molecular weight standard does not contain histidine tag (His-tag), which can reduce the possibility of antibodies being developed.
  3. It is necessary to extend the transfer time or increase the transfer voltage during Western blot of large molecular weight proteins.
  4. The molecular weight of the reference pre-stained protein in the figure is calibrated according to the molecular weight of the non-pre-stained protein.
  5. For your safety and health, please wear lab coats and disposable gloves for operation.
